Qualified Non Mainstream Medical Expenses

Recently, a number of clients have been inquiring about non mainstream medical expenses and what is covered through their Private Health Services Plan.

I believe some of the confusion started when the March 2010 CRA budget was delivered and a few of these expenses where disallowed through personal taxes.

However, this ruling did not affect the Private Health Services Plan (PHSP).

• Orthotics
• Osteopath
• Psychotherapy
• Radium Therapy
• Registered Massage Therapy
• Private School Education for Special Needs Children
• Ultraviolet Ray Treatments
• Vitamins (if prescribed)
